Aim & Scope
IBEROAMERICANA is an interdisciplinary journal of literature, history and social sciences that is aimed at an international scientific audience. From the perspective of different disciplines and taking into account current discussions, IBEROAMERICANA aims to contribute to the analysis of history, literature, cultural life and the socio-political dynamics of Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal, serving as bridge between the research carried out in different academic and regional areas. IBEROAMERICANA publishes contributions of high academic quality, disclosing the results of innovative research. Especially welcome are works whose perspective transcends the national and disciplinary horizon of origin, incorporate comparative and cross-cutting approaches, take positions in debates of regional and international scope and contribute to the revision and renewal of this field of studies. IBEROAMERICANA is composed of four sections: Dossier , dedicated to a special theme focused simultaneously from different disciplines and composed of original articles product of scientific research; Articles and essays , with original scientific contributions from leading researchers; Forum of Debate , with original contributions of smaller size dedicated to analyze in a well-founded way relevant current issues for the regional and disciplinary area; Notes. Ibero-American reviews , with reviews and original bibliographical articles referring to publications and significant research on literature, history and social sciences. IBEROAMERICANA is published by the Ibero-American Institute (Berlin) in cooperation with the GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies (Hamburg) and Vervuert / Iberoamericana (Frankfurt am Main / Madrid).
