Aim & Scope
Social Influence is a new journal that provides an integrated focus for research into this important, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary field. Topics covered include: conformity, norms, social influence tactics such as norm of reciprocity, altercasting, and scarcity, interpersonal influence, persuasion, power, advertising, mass media effects, persuasion in democracy, propaganda, comparative influence, compliance, minority influence, influence in groups, cultic influence, social movements, social contagions, rumors, resistance to influence, influence across cultures, and the history of influence research. The journal will publish a variety of papers, including empirical reports of experiments, surveys, case studies, and field studies; state-of-the-art reviews; theoretical articles; literature reviews; controversies; analytic papers on important social topics; and teaching notes. It will appeal to a broad range of researchers from social psychology, consumer psychology, communication studies, political science, organizational behavior, media studies, and advertising. [1]
